Spring Has Arrived!

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

Psalm 100:1-2

Spring has arrived and with it comes an invitation to spend more time outside enjoying the sun’s warmth and marveling at the new life bursting out everywhere. After a long winter of isolation and anxiety, the sweet scents and vibrant colors of spring trees and flowers are vivid reminders of the goodness of Creation and the endless love of the Creator. A walk around the block becomes more than merely exercise for your legs and heart when you allow yourself to be aware of the sweet aromas, sounds and colors around you. Walking with this kind of awareness can become a celebration of gratitude – a time to stretch all your senses and put things in perspective. You might even find yourself breathing out a spontaneous prayer of thanksgiving for the wonders of God’s world.

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

Psalm 100:5
