Isaiah 40:31

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

“As the first month of the new year is coming to an end, I can’t help but not only reflect on the past weeks but also imagine what the coming months could look like. After the past year, it’s hard to not feel easily discouraged. When things seem uncertain still I often remind myself that I need to let go of my fears of the future and trust that God has everything under control.

The new year is only beginning. The future, while uncertain, holds so much potential and the fear of what is in store can hold us back. But, putting our trust in God can help that fear fade away, help us soar and most importantly, will keep up strong enough to keep pushing forward through the bad times.

Here is a short prayer to start the day:

Dear Lord,

The past year left a mark on all of us. And this coming year is full of uncertainty.

I know that by trusting you all of the pain and fear the past year has left behind will disappear.

Trusting you will help me soar above the fear and will give me a new strength to face the future. A strength that will help me as the new year brings along new experiences, new challenges and new memories.

I thank you Lord for your never ending strength.

Amen.”
