Bearing Fruit in Every Season

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.  But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.  They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.  Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Psalm 1:1-3

When I read these verses, I think of our lives and the daily struggles and difficulties that we all face. The thing with the struggles and difficulties that we face is that we decide how we will handle them.  We can choose to stand with the sinners and mockers or we can choose to be like the trees planted along the riverbank bearing fruit every season (being kind, compassionate, and helpful to our neighbors).

By living and following the law of the Lord and knowing that he loves us, no matter the challenges that we face, the Lord will help and guide us through these difficult times and we will be rewarded.

These verses ring so true with everything that is going on in our world today and what an excellent reminder that if we trust and follow in the Lord, that he will help guide us through the most difficult times.

Prayer

Dear Lord, please help guide and give me strength to be that tree on the riverbank, so that I may help others who are struggling to stay on your path.

Amen
