Transformation

So, if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see everything has become new!

2 Corinthians 5:17

When we accept Christ as our personal Savior, we become a new creation. We accept God’s gift of His Son dying on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of spending eternity with God. It may take us a lifetime to really grasp this great gift.

God gives us a gift through Jesus Christ of a ‘new you.’  Old things pass away: value systems, desires, beliefs, our priorities and plans. When a person enters by faith into fellowship with the risen Christ, he or she is spiritually transformed.

We seek to develop a personal relationship with Jesus and a spiritual reality of life. Our focus is on eternal life rather than worldly values. Our whole perspective of life has changed. To be able to stay on track we need to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. We do this through worship, prayer, reading the Bible and fellowship with other believers.

Praise God who does wonderful things for us!

Prayer (from Psalm 16:11)

Show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasure of living with You forever.

Amen
