Stuff-a-Bus

August 18 - August 31

Stuff-A-Bus is a summer campaign that collects school supplies for children in need in our local schools. It’s organized by CityLinC, a non-profit organization serving Calhoun County since 1968.

You’re invited to help collect school supplies for lower-income children. The supplies are delivered to local schools in late August for distribution to children in need in early September when they return to school.  Please bring your donations to church; we will deliver them to CityLinC at the end of August.

School Supplies List
We can use a wide variety of new and surplus school supplies in the Stuff-A-Bus campaign. All donated materials must be safe for young children and use only non-toxic materials. (Please do not donate broken, used or worn supplies.) Here is a sample of some of the supplies we need most:

  • Small backpacks
  • Pencils (#2 with eraser)
  • Ballpoint pens
  • Notebooks and notebook paper
  • Rulers
  • Crayons (in box)
  • Washable markers
  • Pencil sharpeners (small)
  • Pencil boxes
  • Construction paper
  • 3-ring binders
  • Highlighters
  • Colored pencils and pens
  • Safety scissors
  • Erasers
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Pocket folders
  • Glue sticks and white school glue
