Come help Stuff-A-Bus!

July 15 - August 5

What is it?  During this annual event, school supplies and backpacks are collected from donation bins set up throughout the community.  The supplies are  sorted  and packed into backpacks and delivered to local schools to be distributed to children who need them.   We are excited  that First Presbyterian will again provide the backpacks and be the site for the donated supplies to be sorted and packed!

Come join us and other volunteers from throughout the community to work together so that area students can begin their school year with the supplies they need to be ready to learn.

How you can help:

  • Donate school supplies – These can be left in the Parlor in the mission corner through July 31st.  Some items typically needed are pencils, pencil boxes, glue sticks, crayons, erasers, scissors, rulers.
  • Help sort the supplies – we will be sorting at the First Pres Youth Center.
  • Provide snacks for  volunteers – As we host volunteers from both our congregation and from our community, we would like to provide light refreshments while they are working.
  • Pack the backpacks – August 1st through 5th.   Various dates and time slots will be available.
