Downtown Health Fair is free to all!

July 31, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

A “Heart in the City” Health & Fun Fair will be  taking place in the lower level of the church  on Wednesday, July 31st in the afternoon.  The event is free to all and will include blood pressure, glucose, basic dental, vision and hearing screenings for adults and children, height and weight checks, HIV testing, and car seat safety checks – all provided at no charge.    The Calhoun County Public Health Department will be offering “Getting Ready for School” immunizations.  Sports physicals will be available for students up to age 13.  And there will be MORE.

AND there’s also going to be lots of fun and games with prizes for all ages in the parking area behind the church.  ALSO there will be sno-cones, healthy snacks, hot dogs and popcorn to enjoy.

Health, safety and human service agencies from all over Battle Creek will  be coming together on this day for the event including Bronson Health System, Battle Creek Police Department, Calhoun County Public Health Department, Early Childhood Connections, CityLinC, The Haven Women and Men’s Life Recovery Program; Grace Health, and S.A.F.E. Place.  Some of the many others that are making this Health & Fun Fair possible are Charitable Union; Calhoun Intermediate School District; Franklin Food Pantry; The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen;  Northeast Food Pantry; Farley, Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home; Boy Scout Troop #309; Luke 10 volunteers; Northeast Neighborhood Planning Council,  and Willard Library.

This day is free to all ages and all are welcome!
