Children's Ministries

Sunday School

Sunday school classes for infants through elementary school students take place at the 11:15 education hour and include children in nursery care, pre-school, kindergarten and grades K-5.

Infants and Toddlers

Two bright, well-equipped nursery areas in Room 108 near the entry on the main level are available for infants and toddlers during the worship services and the education hour, as well as on Wednesday evenings and during special events. Our Child Care Coordinator staffs and maintains these nurseries.

Three- and Four-Year Olds (Beginners)

The Beginner Room (Room 16) on the lower level offers hands-on bible learning experiences during the11:15 education hour and during worship.

Elementary (K-5)

Elementary students participate in Kid Connection during the education hour in Fellowship Hall on the lower level.  A multiple intelligences model is used to teach Bible Stories in ways that help children understand their relevance in today's world.

Children and Worship

We believe that community worship is as important for children as it is for adults and that children need to learn what it means to worship as a church family. They can do that by attending worship services with their families and by taking part in group worship experiences appropriate for their own ages and levels of understanding. Children from four years to fourth grade are included in the first part of the 9:00 and 11:15 worship services where they hear a special children's message before being dismissed to their own worship programs in their worship center on the second level.

ghPoint

HighPoint is offered on Wednesday evenings. The evening begins with a meal at 5:45, followed by a time for praise and worship. At 6:30, classes and activities begin. Children enjoy and learn with a Rotation model curriculum. There are classes and activities for adults and middle school youth as well. Child care is available for very young children.
