34th Annual Walk for Warmth

This Saturday is the Walk for Warmth in Battle Creek.  Registration and complete information can be found here Community Action Agency website. This annual fundraiser of the Community Action Agency is for household utility relief for low-income, elderly and disabled residents in order to keep their heat on through the winter.

First Pres Presents – FARMLAND JAZZ BAND

On Sunday afternoon, March 3, “First Pres Presents” will host the FARMLAND JAZZ BAND in concert in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, downtown Battle Creek.  Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, the eight-piece band brings a repertoire of ”toe-tapping, heart-thumping” family-friend music reminiscent of the 1920’s jazz and swing eras.  They also include pop, traditional, and original selections. Winner of the AGO Young Artists’ Competition, Aaron Tan – Organist in Recital

The community is invited to enjoy an extraordinary musical performance by Aaron Tan, the most recent winner of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) Young Artists' Competition.   In addition to winning numerous noteworthy contests and scholarships,  Aaron holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science. He is currently studying at the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University while serving as Organ Scholar at Church of the Resurrection, New York City. Easter Sunday Breakfast

Our Youth Group will be serving breakfast in Fellowship Hall before the Easter worship service.  The menu includes egg casserole, danish, fresh fruit, muffins, tropical fruit cocktail, donut holes, milk, orange juice or coffee.  Donations are accepted and will support the youth's summer mission trip.  All are welcome!
