“Making the Bible Your Own”: A Harmony of the Four Gospels

An event every week that begins at 11:15am on Sunday, repeating until May 20, 2018

See the gospel texts side by side. Compare, contrast and consider: Why are there 4 different gospels? Why aren't they identical? Is it a problem or not? Books will be available in the classroom for a donation of $11. It is not necessary to sign up ahead of time.          

RibFest 2018

RibFest is coming! Together with the neighbors/friends we’ve met through our Luke 10 Ministry, we’ll be preparing and eating an awesome meal!  If you like to cook or just hanging out with cooks – come to the church kitchen at 3 PM.   If you just like to eat come at 5:30.   There is no cost to attend but signing up in advance greatly helps with planning & preparation. Out to lunch at Brewster’s in Kalamazoo, then off to the Westminster Art Festival. This is an annual juried exhibit of the visual arts “Honoring H.O.M.E.S” (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior). The Great Lakes have inspired artists for a very long time. Paintings in a wide variety of media have captured the sandy beaches, rocky shores, boating, lighthouses, and wildlife. Blessing of the Bikes 2018

Area motorcyclists and bicyclists are invited to the Blessing of the Bikes at First Pres on Saturday, May 12th at 10:30 a.m.   This is the fourth year for the event that takes place each spring in May as bikers prepare for another season of riding.  Pastor Pat Weatherwax. will lead the ceremony in the church parking lot at 111Capital Avenue NE.
