Health Fair Mission Opportunity in Detroit

Again this year, we have the opportunity to assist the health ministry team from Synod of the Covenant in providing screenings for the kids and their families that frequent the Second Mile Center in Detroit. Our volunteers help with height, weight and blood pressure tests, documenting information at the various health screening stations, and directing people from station to station. Outside, in the parking area, we assist with games, food and other activities.
We will leave the church at 8:30 AM and transportation is provided. Bring a sack lunch. The Health Fair runs from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will stop for dinner together on the way home and arrive back at the church about 8:00 PM.
